How do I pay someone through Venmo, PayPal or another app?
Last updated
In Account, tap How you get paid and add any of these: a Venmo username, a PayPal.Me name, a Cash App $Cashtag, a Revolut Revtag, a Monzo.me name, a UPI ID, a Wisetag, the email or U.S. mobile number you get Zelle payments at, the mobile number your Bizum is linked to, a PayMe name or bank details. You can paste the link to your profile instead of the name. Saving needs a connection.
Only people who share a group with you see them, in every group you share; someone with only an invite link never does. Deleting your account deletes them.
When you settle up and you are the one paying, the form shows Pay beside each app the other person added. It opens their app with the amount filled in, and a note where the app takes one; Cash App and PayMe open with nothing filled in, for you to type the amount there. Zelle and Bizum have no link: they are paid from inside a bank's app, so their row shows the email or number with Copy, and says to pay it there. Bank details have Copy too.
Venmo, Cash App and Zelle take US dollars only, Monzo pounds only, UPI rupees only, Bizum euros only and PayMe Hong Kong dollars only, and PayPal and Wise each take a list of currencies. An app that can't take the payment's currency shows the handle to copy instead of Pay.
Pay in that app, then come back to Evensies. It asks whether you paid with that app: Record payment records the payment as it was when you tapped Pay, and Not yet records nothing, so you can still record it later.
If a payment between the two of you was recorded or changed while you were away, Evensies says A payment between you changed and records nothing, so the same money is never recorded twice. If that payment covers what you sent, there is nothing more to do; if not, record yours from Settle up.
Evensies never moves money and can't see what you sent: check the amount in the app before you send it, and record only what you paid.
