What does Evensies fill in from a receipt, and what should I check?

On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence on, running iOS 27 or later, or an iPad with Apple Intelligence on, running iPadOS 27 or later, the receipt row reads Scan a receipt, and the device reads the receipt you add itself, with its text recognition and Apple's on-device model. What it reads is sent nowhere to be read, and it works with no connection and in the demo. The device's language must be one Apple Intelligence supports.
It fills in the shop, the date, the currency, the total, and the lines with their amounts, and the tax and the tip where the receipt adds them. Tax already in the prices and a suggested tip are not counted. With lines, the split becomes By item, every line shared by everyone for you to change, and a General category becomes Food.
Anything it isn't sure of is marked for you to check against the receipt: a figure it can't find printed, lines that don't add up to the printed total, a currency or a date it had to guess, and a name that isn't where a shop's name goes. A line at the top says what to double-check, and changing a field clears its mark.
A reading replaces the amount, the date, the currency and the lines already in the form, and leaves alone any of them you change while it works. It never replaces a description you typed or picked. Choosing another receipt replaces what the first one filled in.
If the photo shows no receipt, nothing is filled in and the photo stays attached. Where the device can't read a receipt, Evensies sends it to be read only when receipt scanning is on; when receipt scanning is off, the receipt is attached as it is and you type the expense yourself.
While the device is still reading, the row counts the lines so far, and you can save once it is done.
