How do I delete a group, and can I bring it back?

Open Group settings and tap Delete group, then confirm. Only the group's owner has the button: whoever created it, or whoever it was handed to when its owner left. Deleting needs a connection.

The group disappears for everyone in it, with its expenses, payments and balances, and its invite links and balances page stop working. Nobody is notified; Activity shows that it was deleted.

For 30 days, the owner can tap Restore on its line in Activity, and it comes back for everyone with everything in it. Its old links stay off, so invite people again with a new one.

After 30 days it is deleted for good, with its receipts and cover photo, and can't be restored.

To keep a group but stop new expenses, archive it instead. What you share with a friend outside any group can't be deleted.
