How do I add notes or a cover photo to a group?

In Group settings, type in Notes: the Wi-Fi password, the address, house rules or anything else the group should have to hand. Everyone in the group can see and change them, up to 4,000 characters, and they show at the top of the group with who last changed them.

When someone changes the notes, the others are told the notes changed, never what they say, if their Group activity notifications are on. Notes can be changed offline, and they never appear on the group's invite page.

Under Cover photo, tap Choose and pick a photo from your library. It shows at the top of the group and beside it on Groups, for everyone in the group; without one, the group shows its own colours. Remove photo takes it away.

Only the group's members can see the cover photo. Choosing one needs a connection, and a photo you replace or remove is deleted from our server.

What you share with a friend outside any group has neither notes nor a cover photo.
