How do notifications and reminders work?
Atualizado em
Once you are in a group, Evensies asks once whether to turn on notifications. You can change your mind in Account, under Notifications on this phone, or in your iPhone's Settings.
- Group activity, on unless you turn it off: an expense or payment added, deleted or restored, or its amounts changed, a new comment, someone joining or leaving the group themselves, the group renamed or its notes changed, a repeating expense about a day before it is added if you would owe on it, and reminders from friends. You are never told about your own changes.
- Remind me what I owe, off unless you turn it on: once a week, and only when you owe someone.
- Weekly email, off unless you turn it on: once a week by email, what others changed in your groups and what you owe; see The weekly email.
To remind someone who owes you, open the group's balances and tap Remind beside what they owe you, or Remind everyone who owes you when more than one person does. They get a notification from you saying how much. You can remind each person once a week in each group. Only someone on Evensies whose phone takes notifications from Evensies, with Group activity on, can get it; when Evensies can't reach them, it says so, and your reminder for the week isn't used up. For anyone who owes you, on Evensies or not, Ask to be paid writes them a message with what they owe, how you like to be paid and the group's link where it has one, for you to send from Messages or any app you choose; Evensies sends nothing itself.
Group activity, Remind me what I owe and Weekly email are kept with your account, so they follow you to a new phone.
