How do I start using Evensies?

Open Evensies and tap Continue with email to make an account, or Try the demo to look around first. On an iPhone or iPad you can continue with Apple instead; Sign in with Apple says how. The demo is a sample trip with three people and a dozen expenses, and everything in it stays on your phone. To leave it, open Account and tap Sign out.

With your email, Evensies sends you a 6-digit code instead of asking for a password. The first time, you choose the name your groups will see. Signing in has the details.

• Groups lists your groups, and what you owe and are owed overall, what is just between you and a friend included. The pencil button at the top adds an expense, and the + button makes a new group.
• Friends shows each person you share a group with, everything between you netted across groups. Tap someone to open their page.
• Activity shows expenses, payments and comments in your groups as they happen.
• Account has your name, default currency, How you get paid, Your spending, notifications, exports, help and signing out.
• Search finds a group, a person, or an expense by what it was for.

Then create a group, or open an invite link a friend sent you to join theirs. Joining a group is always free.
