What does signing out delete from my phone?
Last updated
Open Account and tap Sign out. Evensies asks Sign out? and says Unsynced changes on this phone will be lost. Then it stops syncing and signs this phone out of your account; your other phones and iPads stay signed in.
It deletes from this phone your groups, the people in them, their expenses, payments, comments and Activity, the exchange rates it kept, and changes that have not reached our server yet. It also deletes:
- Receipts waiting to be attached once you're online, which are then never attached.
- Receipts you opened to view or share, and exports you made.
- Copies of photos and files you chose or shared into Evensies, for receipts and cover photos, and the app's caches of them.
- Notifications still showing from Evensies.
- What Sign in with Apple left on this phone, if you used it.
Nothing on our server is deleted: your groups, receipts and purchase are there when you sign in again, on this phone or another. Evensies keeps only a few settings of the phone's own, such as Share anonymous usage data.
Evensies signs out the same way by itself when your session ends: when the account is deleted on another phone, when Sign in with Apple is stopped for Evensies, or after 90 days without opening the app.
In the demo, Sign out ends the demo and deletes it from the phone the same way. To keep a copy of your groups, export them and save the file before you sign out; to delete your account instead, see Deleting your account.
